What’s Included?

Pre-Event - Supporting your Prep

Ahead of the event, all entrants will have the opportunity to join a series of live webinars, with recordings available for those unable to attend. Downhill and enduro legend Tracy Moseley will be sharing her wealth of racing experience. This session offers a rare opportunity to hear insights from one of the most accomplished and versatile mountain bikers of her generation. Another webinar from Ben Plenge from The Strength Factory will cover how to prepare and train effectively in the lead-up to Trans Caledonia. All entrants will have access to an exclusive training offer with Ben ahead of the event.

Day 0 - Arrival (Sunday 6th)

Riders will be transferred from the Scottish Borders / Edinburgh to Aberdeenshire (Ardoe House Hotel) for welcome drinks, dinner, and registration. Relax in the spa after travelling, prep your bikes, meet your fellow competitors and get ready for six days of incredible trails.

Day 1 & 2 - Aberdeenshire

Day One journeys through the heart of Royal Deeside, linking famous granite-slabbed mountain trails with hidden gems in ancient pine forests. Day Two moves to Donside, a location steeped in downhill and enduro folklore. Expect epic riding, memorable venues, and a true point-to-point journey through the Dee and Don river catchments, as the route edges toward the Scottish Highlands.

Day 3 - Highlands

One of Scotland’s favourite race destinations, Laggan delivers varied terrain set against a dramatic Highland backdrop. In the heart of Scotland, Munros rise in every direction as the River Spey flows from the Monadhliath Mountains. The riding is gritty and technical, balanced by flow trails to ensure there’s something for everyone.

Day 4 - Perthshire

The picturesque town of Dunkeld is a favourite destination, set beneath Perthshire’s towering forests where some of Scotland’s biggest trees dominate the landscape. Framed by the old stone bridge spanning the River Tay, the setting is calm and timeless - but don’t be fooled. The trails surrounding the village are among the best in Scotland: rocky, rooty and technical, demanding focus and precision. You’ll need your A-game in Dunkeld to ride clean and mistake-free.

Day 5 & 6 – Scottish Borders

You can’t come to Scotland without riding the iconic Tweed Valley trails. On the map for decades, from the birth of Scottish downhill to recent EWS rounds, these forests along the River Tweed are legendary. Two big days will close out the week, with plenty of high fives, fist pumps, and stories shared at the finish. We’ll pack in the very best of the Tweed Valley while staying true to trans-racing DNA. Just keep a little in the legs if you want to get through the Ceilidh (Kay-Lee) Finish Party as we celebrate the racing, volunteers and destinations we’ve visited.

Day 7 - Departures (Sunday 13th)

Depart after a night of celebrations, taking home memories and stories of the racing and camaraderie at Trans Caledonia.

Where we’re going

While the trails and some locations will remain a mystery (part of Scotland’s mystical charm) until closer to the event we can share our route and where we’re going throughout the week.
